I have computers that work with the software. If I were to buy one now, I wouldn't really care about stand alone mode. The mk3 (and my studio and mk2 mikro) will hopefully function as generic midi controllers. The interface is better than my old mpc 1000. The plus will still have the stand alone mode and midi to integrate with other stuff. I held off on buying maschine for one issue: At some point, the software will no longer be supported. If I were buying new, I wouldn't think twice before getting the plus. Sometimes I'll mess around with sequencers in my hardware. Considering that designing my own sounds from scratch is more interesting to me than using presets, is the parameter tweaking on the Plus limited in such a way that I'm going to be using the software either way to achieve this? In other words, can I build out a set of my own sounds using the synths that are distributed with the product out of the box, and do I have access to all the parameters of those synths in the stand alone experience.Īpologies if this doesn't warrant it's own thread.Conversely, is there anything in the MK3 that isn’t possible in the Plus?.are the pads better, are the knobs better, does it come with a more expansive sound library, will I experience some latency improvement playing it?
